Kickstarter Spotlight | Churrascaria: A Cutthroat Game of Gluttony

So, there is something I haven't told you yet. I really hope that you don't judge me but I have to be real with you, I love Churrascarias. I don't know if you have gotten the opportunity to eat at one of these establishments, but it is one of the most religious experiences I have. Most of my life on my birthday, my family would take me to one of these restaurants. That tradition has carried on, and now that I am married I can proudly say that it is still a 'family tradition'. It was late last year and I just got done eating at one of these amazing establishments and I mentioned to my wife that there should be a game about eating at one of these places. You could gain points for eating meat and you should avoid the sides. We laughed and she agreed and we went about the rest of our date. I decided to check and see if this was actually a thing and I found this gem.

Churrascaria: A cutthroat game of gluttony hit all the targets of a game I was wanting to see accomplished and I immediately shared it with a couple of friends. Sadly, the first project didn't fund and I am sure the creators could tell you all the reasons why. I am happy that they didn't quit and pushed through with this game. It is the first game from Absurdist Productions (love that name) and their second go has already funded with 20 days to go!

They even went so far to punish not only for the sides but also the desserts. Why would you save room for anything but meat at these places!? So if you don't know you have magical cards that are green on one side and red on the other - it is a simple Stop and Go mechanic in the real world Churrascarias. Of course, they had to bring it in for the game!

They have a couple different options for you to choose on your pathway to gorging yourself on the most food at the table. Check out the Kickstarter to get more information, but this is a game that looks like a lot of fun! Let me know if you end up backing the game or if you think I should be looking at another game in the comments below. Don't forget to check out other Kickstarter Spotlight posts HERE.
